Positive: Very clean and tidy and located in a nice area 5km out of Kaikoura. Good views from the mountain view room.

Negative: The rooms were designed with the disabled in mind, commendable, but it felt very clinical, particularly the bathrooms with hospital style fixtures, magnolia walls and wet room vinyl. The toilet roll/dispenser was my biggest bug bear, being one of those public toilet types that you have to rummage around in in the hope of getting more than a sheet at a time. Totally unhygienic and impractical. Just not very homely at all.

Summary: Clean, tidy, but not comfortable.
